Approaching Corpach Marina by sea

The Marina is just beyond the SW entrance to the Caledonian Canal.  The approach along Loch Linnhe gives impressive views of Ben Nevis. Loch Linnhe is divided into upper and lower by the Corran Narrows, which can run at 5 knts at Springs.  The loch is buoyed coming into Corpach and the Marina entrance is marked by a green light on the end of the breakwater and a red buoy in the entrance channel.

Getting to Corpach Marina by road or rail

Located in the village of Corpach, a ten minute drive north/west of Fort William, we are at the canal lock at Corpach Basin. We have onsite parking for customers, and there is additional parking nearby at the Corpach Basin.

Very easily accessed by road and rail services from Fort William and by foot along the Caledonian Canal tow path.

With road access via the A82 from the North and South, then the A830 Mallaig road. Approximate driving times are one and a half hours from Inverness and two and a half hours from Glasgow.

If you are travelling to Fort William by bus, services run from Inverness in the North, and Glasgow and Edinburgh in the south. Visit the Ember or Citylink websites for details.  For local bus services, visit Shiel Busses. The bus stop is a short 5 minute walk from the marina.

Scotrail runs a train service from Glasgow Queen Street along the famous West Highland line.  There is also a sleeper service available from London to Fort William. A local service runs from Fort William to Corpach on the Mallaig line, the train station is less than a minute walk from the marina.

There are taxi ranks at the train and bus station, and on Fort William High Street.  If you wish to book in advance a quick search for Fort William taxi firms gives you lots of possibilities.

The closest airport is Inverness Airport (70 miles away). The closest international airport is Glasgow International Airport which is approximately 100 miles away.
