News and Highlights from Spring ’26
Corpach Marina Summer Newsletter 2026
It’s been another busy few months at Corpach Marina, with plenty happening both on and off the pontoons. From the Huge Success of our second Community Day to welcoming local schools and a work placement student to refreshing our facilities and launching our new website. We’d like to thank everyone who continues to support the marina and make it such a welcoming place to visit.
Community Day, a Huge Success
Our biennial Community Day was a fantastic success, with hundreds of people joining us at the marina to enjoy a day of adventure, entertainment and community spirit. From exciting trips out on the water and live demonstrations by our emergency services to music, children’s activities and great local food, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Not just a Marina
More than anything, the day showcased what Corpach Marina is all about, not just a place to berth a boat, but a welcoming community where people can come together, make memories and celebrate everything that’s special about our local coastline. A heartfelt thank you goes to all of our activity providers, volunteers, community groups, local businesses and everyone who came along to make the day such a memorable occasion.
Our New Website is Live!
We’re delighted to launch our brand-new Corpach Marina website.
Designed to be easier to navigate and packed with useful information for berth holders and visitors alike, the new site showcases everything the marina and surrounding area have to offer. Whether you’re planning a visit, looking for local information or checking out our facilities, we hope our visitors and berth holders find it a valuable resource.

Corpach Marina gets a Refresh
With the help of volunteers, staff and supporters, we’ve given the marina a fresh new look with:
- Fresh coats of paint around the site
- New gravel and improvements to the car park surface
- New planting to brighten the marina for the season
A huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help. The improvements have made a real difference and continue to enhance the experience for everyone who visits.
Local Schools visit
Education and community engagement remain an important part of what we do, and we’ve been delighted to welcome three school groups to the marina this season.
Two visits came from Lochaber High School. We hosted an employability group as well as an S4 Geography class, giving students a guided tour of the marina and an insight into the range of careers within the marine industry, thanks to the support of Cruise Loch Linnhe. Pupils also learned how to tie up a boat safely and explored some of the specialist equipment used in day-to-day marina operations.
Our third visit welcomed P4–P7 pupils from Kilchuimen Primary School in Fort Augustus. The children enjoyed seeing the Jacobite steam train pass the marina, toured the facilities, and even had a look at our CCTV system and live marine traffic monitoring. Their enthusiasm and curiosity made it a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone involved.
Supporting Young People Through Work Placement
We’ve been delighted to host an S6 student from Lochaber High School Glencoe House on a four-week work placement, visiting the marina for an hour’s session each week.
Throughout his time with us he has brought tremendous enthusiasm, a fantastic work ethic and a real interest in hands-on marina operations. It has been a pleasure having him as part of the team, and the placement has helped strengthen our links with local schools while giving a young person valuable experience in a working marina environment.
Summer Berth Update
This season we took the decision to reduce the number of visitor berths in favour of increasing the availability of seasonal berths.
The change has proved successful, with more boats choosing to spend the summer based at Corpach Marina. It’s been wonderful to see the pontoons busier for longer periods, helping to create an even stronger sense of community throughout the season.
Welcoming Duncan to the Team
We’re pleased to welcome Duncan Macleod as our new job share Marina Manager, taking over from Musti Egilmez.
Duncan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from a long career in the shipping industry, and we’re delighted to have him as part of the marina team.
At the same time, we’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Musti for all of his hard work, commitment and dedication during his time at Corpach Marina. We wish him every success and happiness in the future.
Thank you
This season has reminded us that while tides rise and fall and faces come and go, the strength of a marina has never been measured by its pontoons, but by its people. Thank you for continuing to look out for one another and for making Corpach Marina the community it is.
